Previously, while working for the State Treasury Solicitor General’s Office, he held among other posts a plenipotentiary for Poland in arbitration proceedings, including those based on the Energy Charter Treaty and FIDIC rules. While working for the Office of the Committee for European Integration, he was involved in negotiations on Poland’s accession to the European Union and the adaptation of Polish law to the requirements of European Union law. He has also worked for the European Commission.
