Former Management Board Member of ORLEN Unipetrol, expert in strategic security, energy transition, and industrial innovation.
Manager with over 20 years of experience in the energy, petrochemical, and defense sectors. From 2022 to 2024, he served on the management board of the Czech company ORLEN Unipetrol, where he was responsible for development investments, crude oil and gas procurement, decarbonization and innovation, circular economy initiatives, environmental protection, quality control, and both personal and process safety. During this period, he oversaw projects with a total annual value of over EUR 250–300 million.
He specializes in change management, cost optimization, technological innovation (including hydrogen technologies and chemical recycling), energy transformation, and critical infrastructure security. Between 2022 and 2024, he co-led ORLEN Group’s strategic project to diversify oil supplies to the Czech Republic.
Previously, as Managing Director at the Foreign Intelligence Agency (2017–2021), he was responsible for strategic and operational efforts supporting Poland’s national security. Within the Military Intelligence Service (2006–2017), he held various leadership roles, developing expertise in team management and geopolitical risk analysis.
A reserve colonel, he has been awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta by the President of Poland, as well as the Bronze and Silver Cross of Merit. He has also been repeatedly honored with medals and distinctions by the Minister of National Defence, the Head of the Military Intelligence Service, and the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
He holds a 4-year military engineering degree from the Land Forces Military Academy in Wrocław and a parallel master’s degree from the University School of Physical Education in Wrocław. He also completed postgraduate studies at the University of Wrocław and an MBA in hydrogen technology management.
Fluent in English, with working knowledge of Czech.
Privately, he is passionate about geopolitics, commodity markets, new technologies, and mountain tourism.
